Newsflash: The Alpaca My Bags podcast we refer to in this episode is now known as Curious Tourism. I’m always happy to notice there are more and more travel podcasts entering the world, but earlier this year when I learnt about Alpaca My Bags (now Curious Tourism), I was so excited – this was a podcast truly after my own heart. I got in touch with host Erin to suggest we record a crossover episode so we could each learn about the other, the two podcasts, and introduce ourselves to each other’s audiences – because I knew that my listeners would love Erin’s take on some really serious travel topics.

Episode 206 of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast is a special one: for the first time, I’m doing a crossover episode with another podcast, because I’m sure it’s one my listeners will love. I chatted with Erin, the host of Curious Tourism, earlier in the year when we had just gone into Covid lockdown. Erin and I discussed our travel histories, all about what our podcasts stand for, and highlight some of our favourite episodes. I get to be a bit self-indulgent and talk about moving abroad in my twenties and my theory about brainwashing my son so that he loves to travel (so far, it’s working!). Links:
